Sometimes in the midst of something incredible happening, life comes in to try and shake things up. But when you have the right tools and mindset, you won’t be thrown off so badly. Here’s what I experienced last week…

I hosted a 1-Day Workshop + my very first Soulful Sales Happy Hour last Thursday, right here in Atlanta for some amazing mission-driven, entrepreneurs who were ready uplevel their results in their business, and let me just say it was a day full of transformation, healing, action taking, and real-time results.

I was able to show up to a room of willing participants and serve them well by teaching my Soulful Sales System™ and support them through their jaw dropping breakthroughs.

Watching people get their transformation LIVE in-person is one of the reasons why I LOVE what I do so much as a coach, speaker, and trainer!!

From brand strategists to real estate agents, to consultants, coaches, and holistic health practitioners, EVERYBODY benefitted. Even my team! 

But the day before the event, my daughter caught the pink-eye at school and had to be rushed to the doctors. Yes, less than 24 hours before the event, I found myself sitting in a doctor’s office for hours, then later picking up medication that took another couple hours, all while still needing to prepare for my 1-Day workshop that was happening the next morning!

Was I feeling mentally and physically exhausted? Yes!

Could I stay that way? Heck no!

I had a room full of people to be of service.

So I had to shape shift quick and get my head and body together. Using my own advice, I did something that I teach my clients to do in selling conversations, that can also be applied to our lives and everyday situations.

I got really intentional about how I wanted to feel, what I wanted to see happen, and the experience I wanted to create for me, my daughter, and the participants showing up for the event.

SOULFUL SALES TIP: “SET THE TONE”

Today’s tip is all about how you set the tone in your selling conversations. If you don’t set the tone and clarify the intention of your sales conversations, you immediately take yourself out of the driver’s seat, and loose control and focus.

I am here to share with you today what is the missing ingredient in your selling conversations when you are enrolling clients into your business? 

See the missing ingredient is not so much about having the right words and having a script, or even an outline.

The missing ingredient that most people teach is not knowing your ideal customer's buying style. In order for there to be a sale, there has to be someone buying. But do you know what their buying style is? 

What happens is when you don't know it, you end of shooting from the hip all the time. You're guessing, hitting, or missing, and it's really important to know the ideal style of your customer so you can identify what they are looking for so you can speak into THEIR listening and speak THEIR language. 

Often times you're taught, I was taught the same thing, that you have to make it about you, your offer, your products, your services. It's not about you, it's about them. 

In order to find out what they need, you have to ask powerful, concise questions. Let them speak it, share it, and then feed it back to them in the form of your offer and your solution.

Is this making sense?

I hope so, because if it makes sense to you, it can make dollars and sense FOR YOU my friend. 

So, instead of always thinking about what you should say next, ask a question, listen intently, and allow your ideal client to give you the answer key to what they need to hear from you in order to take the next step, which is to buy from you.

It’s the holiday season and as important as it is to take time and enjoy your family, there are other things that are equally important to focus on as well…

As “busy” people, we tend to forget about ourselves while we’re busy caring for all the other moving pieces in our life and business.

Here’s are a few of my tried and true Soulful Sales Tips to help you with the balancing act (you’re probably feeling) this time of the year.

1. Systemize Everything. From your family gatherings to your social media posts and personal messages. Having a great system is key! And not just in business. Google Calendar is a great tool for scheduling everything. I live by it and use it for family planning, my personal self care and all of MiAngel’s activities. It helps to make sure everyone can be on the same page, and that I personally don’t over book things.

2. Have Tight Boundaries. When you have dedicated time to be with family, work on your business, and spend time with yourself, sometimes life can “try” to throw balls at you just to jack it all up. Be clear about your time boundaries and commit to them (even when it’s slightly unreasonable or uncomfortable).

3. Take Time To Retreat. Take time away from your computer, your family, and the noise on social media and don’t feel guilty about it. You owe it to yourself to protect your spirit, and refuel to keep your energy vibrating high.

Telling on myself here… sometimes I’ll run off to the gym after a long day (and evening) at the office just to blow of steam and get my energy back up. Or I’ll just lie on the floor and listen to some jazz music, or nothing at all, while staring at the ceiling.

And I love a good binge watch of TV on Hulu or Netflix when my shows have backed up. It all depends on what’s going on. These are some of the things that help me unload and free myself up.

Do what you need to stay in that good vibration and emotionally strong.

YOU matter! You matter so much that it’s vital to take great care of you.

Have you ever felt like you were doing everything right, but the very thing you were “pushing for” just wasn’t working out?

This literally just happened to me a couple months ago, and I couldn’t figure out why it was happening. In hindsight, the moment I stopped trying to “force it” was the moment I saved myself so much unnecessary stress and drama...

Every year between June and July, one of my best friends and I take a trip to celebrate our birthdays. It’s something fun we do to spend time with one another, especially since we live about 13 hours (driving) away from each other.

This year, we were planning on doing A Taste of Chicago!

As the plans were being put into place, things just weren’t going right... From booking flights, to the hotel, the activities, and everything else, things just weren’t working out smoothly at all.

It began to feel complicated, and I do not do complicated well with anything.

After weeks of pushing and pushing to ‘make it happen’,  I finally realized it simply wasn’t going to work out. The best thing I could was to let her know, release all the attachments I had to what this vacation time with my girl would represent and remain open to something else.

It wasn’t easy, not even for me, but I did it.

Of course, as God would have it, I later discovered it was a blessing in disguise. Instead of being away on vacation, I was able to be present at home to take care of some critical things that I didn’t know would need my attention.

Sometimes what appears to be a “block” can also be a blessing for something better that comes around later.

As a result, time showed me why our vacation couldn’t happen this go round and I practiced a great act of detaching myself from the outcome (we could all use more practice in that from time to time).

I say this to ask you… is there something in your life or business you’ve been “pushing to make happen?”

Whether it’s a relationship (personal or business), an opportunity you want really bad, launching a program or product, or something else.

It’s important to know that just because your reasons behind why you are pushing it may be valid, there’s a bigger reason why it may not be working out.

What are you willing to let go of and release your attachment to, in order to become available for the blessing on the way?

I just LOOOOVE summer (minus the bugs & crazy, dizzy heat waves, whew!) and all that the Sun rays bring. I’m so tempted to just take off more days than I should.

Instead, I remind myself that because of this high vibrant time, the days are actually longer! So after I wrap up in the office, I can still go play and hangout with friends.  I live for festivals, outdoor concerts, taking hikes, going to the parks, people watching, eating yummy, colorful food, and just flowing.

Here, I am celebrating my birthday after a morning hike up Stone Mountain with a few friends. It was one of the best gifts I could give myself to kick off the day.  This picture SO represents my energy right now.

It's so easy to “check out” and not focus on being productive in your business during this season.  Trust me, I get it.  I’ve even noticed my Soulful Sales Academy members production level decrease a bit during this time (so I know if it's happening for them, then it could probably be happening for many of you too).  

This is such a special time to incorporate that SUMMER time energy into your business and life because this season is filled with a heightened level of manifestation.  

Meaning, things are blooming quickly and trust me, you want to ride this wave of energy and make the most of it, while still enjoying yourself and taking time off.

How, you ask?  Its simple.

I’ll share with you one of the juicy tips I trained on last week with my clients.  

Build Summer Momentum Tip #1

Share your excitement and summer fun experiences with your community (on and offline) and connect it to what you do and how you help clients.

For example, I teach entrepreneurs Soulful Sales: how to feel good about selling, serve more people, get paid and satisfy your soul.  Ultimately, showing you how to have a business you love and loves you back (ka-ching!).

So for me and my tribe, I always lead with feeling good.  

I KNOW that is ultimately how things get done, how you attract ideal clients, and it's a key component to enrolling more of them.  When my clients get on the phone with me depending on who they are and their personality style, we do all sorts of things to raise their vibrations, their esteem and focus.  

From there, it’s game planning and implementing time. I can’t tell you how many stories I get week-to-week on how it shifts their results from no clients to 3 new clients in just a few days!

Or from a client who needed to back out of an agreement, to that same client now paying in full or on time. These stories give me life all day long!

And, I’m sharing this because I know the power of using excitement to build momentum.  Ok dear, now it's your turn!

My coaches challenge for you today is to...

Select a picture or moment that represents EXCITEMENT for you. Share it with your audience and weave it into a tip or two around the subject matter you actually teach. That simple.  

If you haven’t spoken to your list in a while, this is the perfect time.

If you want to launch something, this is the perfect time.

Use your pictures and stories to share what you have going on in your life. People want to hear from YOU. Connect with them. Reach out to them. Share your summer adventures with your tribe and invite them in. Keep going.

Remember, you are an answered prayer to someone asking for someone just like you.

As you work on growing your business and living your dreams, it can often take you away from your loved ones. Traveling and being away from them can be a tender subject matter, not to mention the balancing act of making sure every little detail is taken care of before you leave.

Today's Soulful Sales Video Tip is on what you can do or say to your loved ones before leaving, especially if you have children. This will help to settle any guilt or regret you may have around leaving.

As you know, enrollment, aka sales, happens in everything we do…whether it's with your ideal clients, a potential affiliate partner OR your children and loved ones, you are ALWAYS enrolling someone into something.

Timing truly is everything! It’s all about seizing the moment.

Whether it’s a business opportunity, a chance to uplevel your skills, a chance to have your gifts reach a bigger audience, a chance to work with a coach and mentor you’ve been desiring to work with for a long time, whatever your “moment” looks like, seize it!

I’m big on practicing what I teach, which is why I did this impromptu, yet “timely” video for you in the freezing cold in Zurich, Switzerland.
